Discussion with the Dean:
Special Evening Edition!
Tuesday, April 30th
6:00 - 7:30 pm
MVWS Social Hall
This evening is for every parent and caregiver.
Please join me and a special guest as we discuss relationships with your children and what lies underneath their behaviors.
We will discuss:
- Moving away from behavior and toward relationship-based meaningful social interaction
- Progressing beyond rewards and punishments
- Rich ways of connecting
- Supporting the healthy development your child needs to become a resilient, problem-solving adult
Our children are like trees - with roots, trunks, branches, leaves, and flowers. When you see behaviors in your children, you are looking at the leaves and flowers. But if we want to see change in behaviors, we can’t just focus on the leaves and flowers - we need to feed the roots!
My special guest, Marlene Martin, is a Developmental Consultant and Parent Coach who has been working for 15 years to provide families with the knowledge and understanding needed to create individualized, comprehensive programs that support all children and adults to thrive. She brings families peace of mind through a deeper understanding of their child's complete profile.
This evening is free and adult-only. Bring your favorite beverage, paper and a pen.
RSVPs are helpful!
Warmly,
Lisa

Scrip Update
Greetings from Scrip Land!
If you plan to pay the Business Office the $75 if you have not used any scrip companies this school year, could you kindly let me know at scrip@maplevillageschool.org? Then I can mark your scrip donation for school year 2018-2019 as complete on my spreadsheet.
You can buy scrip cards on the go on your phone and use your CREDIT CARD. Benefit Mobile allows for credit card use, and you can even buy scrip in exact amounts, like $32.87, instead of having to buy $40.
