Letter from our Dean
Dear Maple Village Families,

We made it through a week of solid splendid rain! Thank you for sending appropriate rain gear to allow your children to frolic in the weather.

Today, we had a VIP visitor.  I was contacted by Jenay Morrisey from the U.S. Department of Education, Office on Non-Public Schools.  We had met in Washington D.C. in September, and she remembered hearing about how our school was built on sustainability and environmental awareness and education. She traveled here for one day to do a speaking engagement in Orange County, and she wanted to come for a site visit to see our school for herself. This was her first visit to a Waldorf School, and she was very impressed!  Thank you to parents who helped us tidy up after the slushy week.
A few parents sent us a link to this New York Times article, Students Learn From People They Love. These emails came with words of gratitude -  "that our children go to a school that inherently and purposefully values relationship building.”   Please take a few minutes to read:

Have a beautiful, dry three-day weekend!

The MVWS Board of Trustees invites everyone to a Town Hall Meeting.  Further details will be coming to you early next week.

In order to focus on the topics at hand, this is an adult-only evening. Due to the high attendance expected and the late ending time, we will not be able to provide childcare, so please plan accordingly.
