All parents and caregivers are welcome to come observe the Bridge Ceremony in the Social Hall at 8:45 a.m. on Tuesday, where our new First Grade class will be making the symbolic journey over the bridge from early childhood to the grades.  Afterwards, parents and caregivers are welcome to stay in the Social Hall for light refreshments and a chance to chat with our Dean, Lisa McCarthy.

Parent/Toddler Fall Session


We still have spots available in the Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday classes for our fall session of Parent/Toddler!  If you or someone you know would be interested, please contact Alice ASAP.  This program usually has a waitlist, so now is the time to join!  Here are the session details:

Tuesday, Wednesday*, Thursday, or Friday
9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
First Day:  September 11/12/13/14
Last Day:  November 6/7/8/9
Cost:  $295, all fees included

*Wednesday class will continue to be an outdoor class at Mae Boyar Park in Lakewood.  All other classes are held on the MVWS campus.

We also offer a discount for registering for the whole upcoming school year!  Families have the option to register for all three Parent/Toddler sessions upfront for $810, guaranteeing your spot on the day of your choice for Fall, Winter, and Spring sessions.  You will save $75 on registration fees and also receive half off our Preschool application fee ($50, down from $100), for a total savings of $125. Otherwise, registering for each session individually will be $295 per session.

Spots in each of the classes are filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
Me & My Baby Fall Session


Ms. Francesca will be leading a new session of Me & My Baby classes this fall!  Spots are still available; please help us get the word out to parents of babies aged 6-16 months.

Me & My Baby is a 9-week class designed for both of you – a unique opportunity to meet other parents/caregivers at this incredible time in your baby’s life. Drawing inspiration from many sources including RIE and Waldorf, Me & My Baby offers a place to connect, observe your child’s growth, and discuss child development and parenting in a warm, supportive environment. Come meet us once a week, share your joys and frustrations, and celebrate the journey together.  This class is for babies 6 – 16 months old and their parent or caregiver.

Thursdays, 12:00 p.m. – 1:15 p.m.

Fall 2018 Session: September 13th – November 8th

Tuition: $225 total per 9-week session

After-School Theatre for Grades Students - Sign Up Now!

We are excited to welcome KITE back this year, bringing their amazing theatre program to students in grades 1-8!  KITE will meet after school is dismissed on Friday afternoons.  For more information or to enroll your child, please email KITE at info@kitekids.org.
Seeking Vehicle for Mr. Dupuis 

Our amazing Eurythmy teacher, Mr. Dupuis, has moved to Northern California, but he has agreed to come back to do a 7-week block with our students! We are seeking volunteers to provide him with any extra vehicle (car, moped, etc.) from September 17 - November 5. Please contact Lisa if you are able to help.  Sebastien will also be offering adult classes while he is here (see below!)

Adult Classes with Sebastien Dupuis

Thursdays: September 20 - November 1 (7 weeks)
 
1:15-2:25 Eurythmy
Why do we do Eurythmy in Waldorf schools? Come experience live music and poetry through flowing movement with others. An introduction to the new art of speech and tone eurythmy. 
 
2:30-4:00 Anthroposophical Study
Through observation, practical exercises and study we will explore how Anthroposophy (the philosophy at the source of Waldorf education) can help us acquire a deeper experience of the social question, liberty of thought, and a knowledge of the spiritual nature of the human being.

Please sign up in the MVWS office (participant minimum 4, maximum 16).
You may drop in to individual classes ($10 each) or register for both classes for all 7 weeks ($100).  Cash or checks (made out to Sebastien Dupuis) are accepted.
If finances are a constraint, other exchanges can be possible - please contact Sebastien.
