Letter from our Dean

MVWS proudly offers a BRAND NEW parent/baby class:

Me & My Baby is a 6 week class designed for both of you - a unique opportunity to meet other parents/caregivers at this incredible time in your baby’s life. Drawing inspiration from many sources including RIE and Waldorf, Me & My Baby offers a place to connect, observe your child’s growth, and discuss child development and parenting in a warm, supportive environment. Come meet us once a week, share your joys and frustrations, and celebrate the journey together.

Wednesday Mornings
Session I: March 7th-April 18th (No Class April 4th)
Session II: May 9th-June 13th

Class I (9-10 AM) is for prewalking babies 3 months and older
Class II (10:20-11:45 AM) is for walkers - 17 months old

This class is taught by Sarah Steinbacher, a local doula and parent educator with over ten years of early childhood experience.

Yearbook Committee Update

We are excited to be making a yearbook available for families this year! We are making the book more affordable as it is growing in size (along with our school!) by offering a tax-deductible marketing opportunity for local businesses that are in alignment with our values.

If you have any business leads that you think would be interested please email us at mvwsyearbook@gmail.com

Also, we want YOUR photos!
Please email high resolution photos along with photo details, such as:
- students' names
- classrooms
- event names
- dates
- description of school work
to the email address mvwsyearbook@gmail.com.
If you have many high res photos from an event I will provide a Dropbox link to you when you email the above address.

Thank you!
Your Yearbook Committee Chairperson,
Jo Hendrix
aka Justice’s Mama (Sweet Pea Class)
Scrip - Go Mobile!

Did you know that you can effectively install a mobile app on your smartphone to purchase or reload ShopWithScrip gift cards and use them immediately to pay for purchases?   To install the app, visit myscripwallet.com.  Once there, iPhone users can tap the up arrow icon at the very bottom of their screen (the icon that looks like an arrow in a square), then choose “add to home screen”.

On an Android phone, tap the menu button in Chrome (probably 3 dots at the top right corner of the screen) and then choose “Add to homescreen”.  If you use Firefox for Android, press the menu button, click the “page” option, and then tap “Add to home screen”.  An icon will now appear on the home screen of your smartphone.

The great part about using MyScripWallet is that you can finish your shopping or ordering, and then purchase a ScripNow e-card or reload another existing card right before you are ready to pay (we often order cards while standing in line at Whole Foods and Starbucks, or right before submitting an order on smile.amazon.com).  The clerk will scan the barcode on your phone and you can pay any remaining balance with cash or credit/debit card.  Any unused gift card balances can be used at a later time.

Remember to watch for ShopWithScrip bonuses (sometimes up to 25% scrip rates) and to complete any online ordering through either smile.amazon.com or escrip.com to double up on scrip, earning through both the website and a purchased e-card.
